THIRD BRITISH COUNCIL UK UNIVERSITIES FAIR

Last Wednesday, a group of 2nd Batxillerat students went to the Third British Council UK Universities Fair.

The programme consisted of an exhibition of 70 British institutions including Universities, Colleges, Schools, Educational Suppliers and ELT. They were able to take advantage of a diverse and wide-reaching programme of activities related to UK education.

TEACHERS FOR A DAY

Last week our 1st of Batxillerat students were teachers for a day. 

In small groups they worked on different topics about past tenses. They prepared a Keynote presentation with all the information and finally, they presented it orally for the rest of the class as if they were teachers giving a lesson.

They had a great experience!

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

This week our 1st of Batxillerat students finished watching the film 'Slumdog Millionaire', a British drama film.

The film tells the story of Jamal, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning 20 million rupees on India's "Who wants to be a millionaire?".

After watching it, they answered some questions about the film. They enjoyed it a lot!

COMENIUS

Next week our school is going to host a group of people coming from other countries. The Comenius project is giving a new opportunity to know other cultures through the English language.

Since all the school is going to be involved, some of our second of batxillerat students are going to be guides for a couple of days. They are going to explain some of the most relevant aspects of historical places of Barcelona.

We hope they have a nice experience!
